Workshop Announcement: ---------------------------------------------------------------- Online databases: from L-functions to combinatorics ---------------------------------------------------------------- January 21 to January 25, 2013 International Centre for Mathematical Sciences Edinburgh, Scotland, UK http://www.aimath.org/ARCC/workshops/onlinedata.html ------------ Description: ------------ This workshop, sponsored by AIM, ICMS, and the NSF, will be devoted to the development of new software tools for handling mathematical databases. These tools will assist mathematicians in the integration, display, distribution, maintenance and investigation of mathematical data. The workshop is organized by Paul-Olivier Dehaye and Nicolas M. Thiery. For more details please see the workshop announcement page: http://www.aimath.org/ARCC/workshops/onlinedata.html Space and funding is available for a few more participants. If you would like to participate, please apply by filling out the on-line form (available at the link above) no later than September 21, 2012. Applications are open to all, and we especially encourage women, underrepresented minorities, junior mathematicians, and researchers from primarily undergraduate institutions to apply. -------------------------------- AIM Research Conference Center: -------------------------------- The American Institute of Mathematics (AIM) hosts focused workshops in all areas of the mathematical sciences. AIM focused workshops are distinguished by their emphasis on a specific mathematical goal, such as making progress on a significant unsolved problem, understanding the proof of an important new result, or investigating the convergence between two distinct areas of mathematics.
