Bozza, Valerio

This workshop will provide a unique chance to compare different methodologies for the investigation of Gravitational Lensing in strong fields. Every method has its own advantages and its own limitations and is based on a particular personal experience in General Relativity. It would be very instructive if everybody has the chance of presenting his own works on Kerr lensing, with dedicated discussion sessions afterwards.

Besides the theoretical advances, my main concern is about the observability of relativistic images in the strong field limit. Very Long Baseline Interferometry is needed to resolve such images, but even though sufficient resolution will be probably available in the next decades, the radiation of matter falling into the black hole may completely hide these images. So, I would be very interested in hearing about present models of black hole accretion and discuss about the chances of observing such images around Sgr A* or around some other black holes.
