Workshop Announcement: ---------------------------------------------------------------- Analytic, arithmetic, and geometric aspects of automorphic forms ---------------------------------------------------------------- January 29 to February 2, 2024 American Institute of Mathematics Research Conference Center Pasadena, California http://aimath.org/workshops/upcoming/aagaautomorphic ------------ Description: ------------ This workshop, sponsored by AIM and the NSF, will be devoted to problems and questions about the non-vanishing of automorphic periods, especially existence and potential applications. Past progress on such problems has found applications in works on the Birch--Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture, on non-vanishing of Iwasawa invariants of $p$-adic L-functions, and the finiteness of rational points on certain varieties. The workshop is organized by Ashay Burungale, Mladen Dimitrov, Philippe Michel, and Chris Skinner. For more details please see the workshop announcement page: http://aimath.org/workshops/upcoming/aagaautomorphic Space and funding is available for a few more participants. If you would like to participate, please apply by filling out the on-line form (available at the link above) no later than October 2, 2023. Applications are open to all, and we especially encourage women, underrepresented minorities, junior mathematicians, and researchers from primarily undergraduate institutions to apply. -------------------------------- AIM Research Conference Center: -------------------------------- The American Institute of Mathematics (AIM) hosts focused workshops in all areas of the mathematical sciences. AIM focused workshops are distinguished by their emphasis on a specific mathematical goal, such as making progress on a significant unsolved problem, understanding the proof of an important new result, or investigating the convergence between two distinct areas of mathematics.
