Workshop Announcement: ---------------------------------------------------------------- Arithmetic statistics, discrete restriction, and Fourier analysis ---------------------------------------------------------------- February 15 to February 19, 2021 American Institute of Mathematics Research Conference Center San Jose, California http://aimath.org/workshops/upcoming/arithfourier ------------ Description: ------------ This workshop, sponsored by AIM and the NSF, aims to explore several problems at the interface of harmonic analysis and analytic number theory, with an eye to bringing both groups of researchers together to make progress in discrete restriction, arithmetic statistics, exponential sum estimates and discrete harmonic analysis by using tools from both fields. The workshop is organized by Theresa Anderson, Frank Thorne, and Trevor Wooley. For more details please see the workshop announcement page: http://aimath.org/workshops/upcoming/arithfourier Space and funding is available for a few more participants. If you would like to participate, please apply by filling out the on-line form (available at the link above) no later than December 5, 2020. Applications are open to all, and we especially encourage women, underrepresented minorities, junior mathematicians, and researchers from primarily undergraduate institutions to apply. -------------------------------- AIM Research Conference Center: -------------------------------- The American Institute of Mathematics (AIM) hosts focused workshops in all areas of the mathematical sciences. AIM focused workshops are distinguished by their emphasis on a specific mathematical goal, such as making progress on a significant unsolved problem, understanding the proof of an important new result, or investigating the convergence between two distinct areas of mathematics.
