This workshop, sponsored by AIM and the NSF, will be devoted to
the mathematics of Boltzmann machines.  Researchers have been
employing tools in information theory, algebra, combinatorics,
geometry, and optimization to understand these models. The result
is a situation where further progress probably requires a more
intimate merger of these tools. 

The workshop is organized by
Asja Fischer, Guido Montufar, and Jason Morton.

Space and funding is available for a few more participants.
If you would like to participate, please apply by filling
out the on-line form (available at the link above) no later
than May 1, 2018. Applications are open to all, and
we especially encourage women, underrepresented minorities,
junior mathematicians, and researchers from primarily
undergraduate institutions to apply.
