Workshop Announcement: ---------------------------------------------------------------- Self-interacting processes, supersymmetry, and Bayesian statistics ---------------------------------------------------------------- September 23 to September 27, 2019 American Institute of Mathematics Research Conference Center San Jose, California http://aimath.org/workshops/upcoming/selfsuperbayes ------------ Description: ------------ This workshop, sponsored by AIM and the NSF, will be devoted to self-interacting processes and their interaction with supersymmetry, Bayesian statistics and de Finetti-type theorems. The meeting will gather experts from different areas, aiming at a better understanding of these relations and at developing new ideas to handle some of the most challenging models. The workshop is organized by Persi Diaconis, Margherita Disertori, Christophe Sabot, and Pierre Tarres. For more details please see the workshop announcement page: http://aimath.org/workshops/upcoming/selfsuperbayes Space and funding is available for a few more participants. If you would like to participate, please apply by filling out the on-line form (available at the link above) no later than March 23, 2019. Applications are open to all, and we especially encourage women, underrepresented minorities, junior mathematicians, and researchers from primarily undergraduate institutions to apply. -------------------------------- AIM Research Conference Center: -------------------------------- The American Institute of Mathematics (AIM) hosts focused workshops in all areas of the mathematical sciences. AIM focused workshops are distinguished by their emphasis on a specific mathematical goal, such as making progress on a significant unsolved problem, understanding the proof of an important new result, or investigating the convergence between two distinct areas of mathematics.
