September 26 to September 30, 2016

at the

American Institute of Mathematics, San Jose, California

organized by

Kate Juschenko, Tatiana Nagnibeda, and Volodymyr Nekrashevych

Original Announcement

This workshop will be devoted to the structural theory of discrete amenable groups, and new examples of amenable and non-amenable groups. In particular, our discussions will be centered around recent techniques of proving amenability/non-amenability for groups acting on sets and topological spaces and new probabilistic, geometric, and analytic methods.

The main topics of the workshop are:

Material from the workshop

A list of participants.

The workshop schedule.

A report on the workshop activities.

A list of open problems.
